You need to do research on the potential employer, create a resume specific to the job, make sure your social media pages are in order, and dress well. And these are only some key factors in job searching. You can learn of other opportunities from websites that people outside of India commonly use to find work. Knowing the point of view of an outsider can help make the process clearer. No matter how you view the job-seeking process, however, there is no escaping the use of technology. Below are five websites everyone needs when searching for a job in India.

Naukri.com is updated daily with hundreds of new jobs in many categories, including government jobs. You can upload a resume, create a profile, and even create an account before applying to a job. Naukri allows users to receive an email when job positions matching their profile are open. Furthermore, users can apply to any job in any category.

Monster India is one of the oldest job search sites around, but it has lasted for a reason. The site is well respected and can guarantee you a job if your resume is up to par. It has all the bells and whistles you would expect from such a large site and is easy to use.

 

3.  Freshersworld

This app is great for many reasons. One of the best things about this site is the ability to practice interview questions before an interview. From beginners to experienced professionals, this site is great for anyone.

 

4.  LinkedIn

LinkedIn is all about connections and availability. LinkedIn allows you to set up connections with people in your preferred industry and join groups related to that industry. You can get notifications for job openings, see who has taken what job to leverage the opening they left behind, and connect with others to see what might be available. Furthermore, you can include work samples and write articles that will get people to view your profile and contact you. You cannot do a job search without using LinkedIn.

Shine boasts itself as India’s second largest job portal. The Shine app lets you upload your resume, create a profile, keep track of jobs you applied for, and much more. Shine is a great site to look for jobs and have employers find you.
